Terms of Service

Welcome to Verismile, a social network built on authenticity, security, and digital responsibility. By accessing or using our services, including through mobile applications distributed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Definitions

Platform: the Verismile website, mobile applications, and related services.
User: a verified individual using the Platform.
Account: a personal, business, or channel profile.
Content: any text, image, video, audio, or material submitted or displayed.

2. Eligibility, Identity Verification, and Public Information

Users must be at least 18 years old.
All personal accounts require identity verification using valid government-issued identification.
Users authorize the public display of their real legal name as part of their profile.
Profile photos must be real and current. Avatars, AI-generated images, or fictional representations are prohibited.
Only one active personal account is permitted per individual.

3. User Account and Security

Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
Users are responsible for safeguarding login credentials.
All actions performed through an account are the responsibility of the account holder.
The Platform may suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion for violations of these Terms.

4. Account Deletion and Termination

Users may permanently delete their account at any time through in-app settings. Upon deletion, personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Deletion of identity verification data may result in loss of access to the Platform.

5. Payments and Fees

Personal account require a one-time fee.

6. User-Generated Content

Users retain ownership of their Content but grant Verismile a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute such Content solely for operating the Platform.
AI-generated content must be clearly disclosed when there is any potential for confusion.

Prohibited Content

Misinformation, deceptive or manipulative content;
Undisclosed AI-generated or deepfake content;
Hate speech, harassment, or incitement to violence;
Illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activities;
Content violating intellectual property or privacy rights.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

Verismile may remove content or restrict accounts at its sole discretion to comply with law, protect users, or enforce community standards. This includes actions required by Apple or Google policies.

8. Copyright and DMCA

Verismile complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Copyright infringement claims may be submitted to [email protected]. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

9. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable U.S. privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Platform, its content, or user support.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verismile shall not be liable for user-generated content, indirect damages, or service interruptions.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts located in Delaware.
